Welcome to The Dogchester Luxury Pet Hotel (“we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by The Dogchester Luxury Pet Hotel at our facilities or through our representatives. By enrolling your dog in our care, you (“Client,” “you,” or “your”) agree to the following terms. 1. Eligibility and Admission Requirements 1.1. Vaccinations: All dogs must have up-to-date vaccinations, including: Canine Distemper Parvovirus Hepatitis (DHPP) Bordetella (Kennel Cough) Proof of vaccination must be provided before check-in. 1.2. Flea/Tick Prevention: Dogs must be on a flea and tick prevention program. If any signs of fleas or ticks are found, treatment will be administered at the owner’s expense. 1.3. Health & Behavior: Dogs must be in good health and free from contagious diseases. Dogs with stitches cannot be accepted to The Dogchester Hotel. Dogs must not be aggressive towards humans or other dogs. We reserve the right to refuse service for dogs with behavior deemed unsafe. 1.4. Age & Neutering: Puppies must be at least 12 weeks old and fully vaccinated. Female dogs in heat, or due to be in heat during their stay, are not permitted at The Dogchester Luxury Pet Hotel to avoid unnecessary distress. — 2. Services Provided Our luxury dog hotel offers the following (subject to availability): Private suites with climate control Daily walks and enrichment activities Optional grooming and spa treatments Daily updates and photo reports — 3. Booking & Payment 3.1. Reservations: Bookings must be made in advance. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm a reservation. 3.2. Cancellations & Refunds: Cancellations made more than 1 month before check-in: deposit refunded, no further charges. Cancellations less than 1 month before check-in: deposit is non-refundable. If we re-book the suite you will be offered a goodwill gesture of credit which can be used over a 6 month period commencing on the date of cancellation. Cancellations must be made via email to info@thedogchester.co.uk with ‘Cancellation’ in the subject matter. 3.3. Peak Periods: During peak times (e.g., public holidays, the months of June & July, and December 18th – Jan 2nd), full payment may be required in advance and no refunds will be issued. 3.4. Late Payment: Payment balance is due at check-in unless otherwise arranged. Overdue balances may incur interest and collection fees. 4. Arrival & Departure 4.1. Check-in/Check-out Times: Check-in: 2:00 PM–4:00 PM Check-out: 10:00 AM–12:00 PM Late check-outs must be pre-booked and incur additional fees of £20 4.2. Belongings: We welcome your dog’s toys, bedding, or comfort items, but are not responsible for lost or damaged items. We are also not responsible to any injury or accidents that occur to your dog due to the use of belongings left with your dog. 5. Medical Emergencies 5.1. In the event of illness or injury, we will: Attempt to contact you immediately. If unreachable, we will contact your emergency contact. We will seek care from our nearest vet or your registered vet (if feasible). All medical costs are the responsibility of the owner. 5.2. We are authorized to act in the best interest of the dog in emergencies. 6. Liability Waiver 6.1. You understand and accept the following risks: Minor injuries from play or interactions with other dogs if you have granted permission for your dog to partake in group play. Illnesses despite vaccinations (e.g., canine cough). Behavioral changes due to being away from home. 6.2. You waive all claims against The Dogchester Luxury Pet Hotel, its staff, and affiliates for injury, illness, loss, or death of your pet unless due to gross negligence. 7. Abandonment Dogs not collected within 7 days of scheduled departure (without prior communication) will be considered abandoned. We reserve the right to rehome or surrender the dog to an animal welfare authority. All unpaid fees will remain the responsibility of the owner. 8. Photography & Media Release We may photograph or video your dog for updates and promotional purposes. By using our services, you consent to the use of your dog’s image unless you opt out in writing. 9. Data Protection We collect personal data for booking and communication purposes. We will never sell or share your data without consent and will comply with GDPR and local privacy laws. 10. Amendments We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. The most current version will always be available on our website or at reception. 11. Governing Law These terms shall be governed by the laws of Scotland, and any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Scotland. By leaving your pet in our care, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions.
